Kenyan Safari Treetops Mount Kenya National Park Lake Nakuru
 
  Day 01 Mount Kenya
Early in the morning depart Nairobi for the central highlands of Kenya to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club which is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya (17,058 feet). The elitist membership of this club would include movie stars, aristocrats and politicians, both local and international. Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the beautiful landscaped gardens. Activities include golf, tennis, horseback riding and swimming in the heated swimming pool during the night. Overnight at Hotel. Children are not allowed in the dining area after 1900 hrs.
  Day 02 Treetops
After breakfast drive in the morning to the small town of Nyeri in time for a sumptuous lunch at the Outspan Hotel before leaving for Treetops in the early afternoon. The afternoon is spent watching the early arrival at the waterhole and salt lick, usually antelopes. As the evening progresses, larger animals like elephant and even rhino join the procession to the waterhole. Their appearance would be a signal for smaller animals to depart. The tourist is kept well supplied with hot drinks like tea, coffee or chocolate during the night. overnight at Treetops.
  Day 03 Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, the tour crosses over the top of the Aberdare range of mountains, stopping briefly to gaze at the 73m Thompson’s Falls, named after Joseph Thompson the Scots explorer, who was the first European to see the Falls in 1884. Continue to Nakuru for lunch. After lunch, drive around Lake Nakuru National Park for an unforgettable sight of the thousands of flamingos on the alkaline lake. The park also includes the rare black and white rhinos. The other large animal to be seen is the Rothschild’s giraffe. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with both the back (fever tree) and umbrella top acacia growing in abundance as also Euphorbia.

  Day 04 Masai Mara
There’s time after breakfast to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake before leaving for the Masai Mara Game Reserve where you arrive by lunch time. An afternoon game drive should make it possible to locate the black-manned lion for which the reserve is famous. Overnight at Lodge.
  Day 05 Masai Mara
A full day’s game viewing of Kenya’s array of wildlife in their natural habitat. More than 60 species of animals are found here as well as myriad of birds. The vegetation is generally savanna type with clumps of trees near water holes. These supply shade as well as foliage to elephants. The rivers are lined with gallery forest. The acacias supply the Maasai giraffe with their favourite food. The tourist who wishes to take an early morning game drive before breakfast, is kept well supplied with hot tea and hot coffee before departure. This trip could be very rewarding as one is most likely to see lion enjoying a kill. The game reserve is noted for it’s black manned lion. Meals and overnight at Lodge.
  Day 06 Depart
After breakfast, return to Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley which is reached in time for lunch. A stop might be made at the Italian chapel, built by the Italian prisoners of war to commemorate their companions who died while building this road. Then on to Nairobi, with a last breathtaking view of the Rift Valley at Mt. Longonot which you have just passed. This will bring back memories of the wonders of this land.
